ERIC ROBINSON

Certified Public Accountant      


Eric received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and Master's degree from Florida International University.  He specializes in tax planning and services for individuals and small business clients.   He knows how to help small and medium size businesses.  As the shareholder, founder, and CFO of a small company, he grew the business into a $37 million dollar corporation and was recognized by INC magazine as one the fastest growing companies and VAR magazines as the 48th largest VAR (Value-Added Reseller) in the nation.

Eric has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times and numerous local and national newspapers.   Has been a guest on the BBC radio and television and hosted numerous radio talk shows on tax and financial matters.

  

Eric Robinson is involved in the community on both a state and local level.  He currently serves on the Florida Board of Accountancy.  He was appointed by the governor to the state wide Workforce Board of Directors for four years.  Eric was on the board of the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport where he served as Chairman.   He is also a member of the board and treasurer of the South County Habitat for Humanity.

Eric lives in Venice with his wife Christine, their two boys, and princess Madi Grace.
 

 
SUSAN HANKS 
Certified Public Accountant

 

Susan began her work with Peacock, Robinson & Hanks P.A. in 1986.  She grew up in Venice, and after graduating from Venice High School, she attended Georgia Southern College where she received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.   
 
Susan is involved with several community organizations in our community.  She was a board member of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the SunCoast for 12 years, serving as Chairman in her final year of service.  Susan also serves as treasurer of the Triangle Inn Association, Friends of Lord-Higel House and the Venice Nokomis Rotary Club.  She participates in several roles at Epiphany Catherdral, including Finance Council member, Altar server coordinator, and lector/reader.  Susan is also a member and past chairperson of the Venice Area Estate Planning Council. 
 
Susan and her husband, Jim, have been married for over 30 years.  They have two children--Beth attends dental school at University of Louisville and Tommy attends college at University of Florida.
 
 

 
SYDNEY YOUNG

Certified Public Accountant


 

Sydney graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science and Masters degree in Accounting in 1998.  She began her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young LLP in Tampa.  Upon returning to the Venice area, Sydney gained experience working for a publicly traded service company in Sarasota, and also working as a Sarbanes-Oxley consultant for publicly traded companies.  She also spent four years working for Gulf Coast Community Foundation, most recently as the CFO. 

Sydney grew up in this community, attending elementary through high school in Venice.  She currently serves as a board member at the Loveland Center, Inc.  Sydney and her husband, Trent, live in Venice where he owns a men's clothing store (Captain's Landing) on Venice Avenue.  Sydney and Trent have one son, Trent Jr. who attends second grade at Venice Elementary School.

 

 


 
DONNA ROBERTS
Certified Public Accountant

 

Donna is a second generation Florida native, born in Bradenton, Florida.  She graduated from the University of Florida with a BSBA degree, majoring in accounting.  

 

Donna has worked as a CPA in the Venice area since 1980.  Donna had her own firm before merging her practice with Peacock, Robinson and Hanks, P.A. in the Fall of 2011.  As a member of the Florida Institute of CPA’s, she  served on the executive committee for six years and as the President of the Gulf Coast Chapter of FICPAs.   Donna  has also participated on various state level committees and the Board of Directors of the Florida Institute of CPAs representing Southwest Florida.

 

Active in the community, Donna has served on many non-profit Boards, including nine years as treasurer of the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce.  She co-chaired the “Shark’s Tooth Festival” for six years and presently serves as the treasurer on the Executive Committee of the Venice Art Center.
